Recently I took a trip to Melbourne and shot through three rolls of film. I shot all three at 800 ISO, and also forgot to take the rolls out of my bag before they where scanning at the security gate (sigh). And I forgot to tell the developers that I had pushed the film, probably until it was too late…
Mr Negative 700S
There’s been less issues with this roll. Obviously, this roll has a lot of grain if you shoot it at 800 instead of 400. I do like the red in it. There’s sometimes inconsistency with the grain. And I managed to clean it up a bit in a few of the shots. I don’t know if this is a combination of my many mistakes. Probably. Speaking of Mr Negative film, I just saw that the Bat Country film is back, sooo probably breaking that out again soon.

Also pushed to 800, I spent a day thoughtfully trying to empty the roll. At 800, the roll did really well. I’m not certain if the devs saved it in time, but I’m pretty pleased with the results. And got myself a new portfolio pic to boot

Kodak Porta 400
Many mistakes were made, but these turned out okay. There’s an annoying amount of noise in some of these shots. And it kinda makes me wish I had just turned it down to 400… I’ve cleaned up a couple of these. Affinity Photo’s developer tools try to make the best of a bad situation. Other’s weren’t too bad, if you squint enough.
