Today I spent the day helping my friends, Kaelee and Dave move. I really didn’t want them to leave, but I would be a smothering bastard if I did not lend a hand. This involved a day of racing back and forth across town for a vacuum cleaner that worked, heavy lifting of furniture and some light dumpster diving. All of these done to get them out of their place on time and onto the road to new things, university and the like.
These were people that I hung out with at a time when I really didn’t feel I was wanted anywhere else. So their departure means a great deal to me.
I know in time I will see them again, but not for a while. And so my circle of friends and people that I trust and share with gets a whole lot smaller. And though I feel down about this, all I can say is Mahalo, Kaelee and Dave, enjoy the ride and see you around.
Note: no thumbnail yet. it’s nearly three right now and I’m beat.”
