The other day I picked up an issue of Blank Canvas from local graf shop Midian Underground
Apparently its by the same people that ran Clouded Thoughts, which I have several issues of (but never thought to mention until now. While I enjoyed Clouded Thoughts, it mostly focused on composite tags and markings, the kind of thing you would see on the side of trains and derelict walls.
Blank Canvas, from what I see by flicking through the pages, is more along the lines of ‘Street Art’ as opposed to ‘Graffiti’. It’s murals, portraits, tattoos and hang-able art that can lend their origins to graffiti, but ‘classical graffiti’ itself. I’m looking forward to see where this one will go.
