So a little more than a week ago, I went to the opening of the Knees.Space show in Megalo’s gallery space. I had seen this guy’s work around town, mostly as robotic arms painted on the side of buildings or in a drain somewhere. Well he carved out some particle board and printed out some fine art space vehicles. These remind me of the concept vehicles and craft that was painted up by NASA’s art department back in the ’70s. And the bright colour scheme does make it appear these vehicles traverse worlds that would have markedly different atmosphere.
I got to meet Knees at the opening and he’s a pretty cool guy. The show is on until the April 2nd, so there’s only a few days left to take a look.
