So I’ve been out of town. Most of my time was spent reacquainting myself with both Melbourne and Hobart, along with seeing art galleries and a road trip across Tasmania.
Melbourne was fun. I spent a lot of time at the National Gallery of Victoria, RMIT’s Art Gallery (the Elision Ensemble show was especially good) along with a host of independent galleries.
Visiting Hobart was pretty much the same, but I also took a road trip up to Launceston through the Midlands, stopping at villages along the way. MONA was a bit disappointing as they were going through a major reinstall. But the Hobart and Launceston Museum and Galleries were interesting.
It was good to see sunsets against different skylines. And the space and time allowed me to think about a few things.
So, here’s some photos.
