    Brisbane

I recently spent time up in and around Brisbane catching up with friends and family. It was a crazy week of camping, mosquitos, idyllic island life, mad long cycling commutes, kayaki, protesting about kayaki, and dragging a kayak through low tide mangrove mud. It was also art galleries, decent food, obscenely warm days, board game…

    Brick To Canvas

So a little earlier in the week, I read about the Brick To Canvas show happening at the Aarwun Gallery in Gold Creek. I missed the opening, but wanted to see what was hanging on the walls, particularly of former Canberra street artist E.L.K. (or Luke Cornish if you know him in person, I suppose).…

    Tocumwal Lane Party

So I heard about a group of graffiti painters were heading into the centre of the city to paint up one of the alleyways. Naturally I had to check it out, and test a new camera lens I bought. I kind of caught things in the middle of it all being painted up. I’m going…

    Graffiti Iceland

So before going on this trip, I wondered how much street art and graffiti there was in Iceland. Well it turns out there was plenty for me to see throughout my stay on the island. There were numerous tags around the capital Reyjavík, but also murals galore. Akureyri, had plenty of the same, even in…

    Easter Graf

I had nothing better to do today, so I cycled out to some legal walls I hadn’t seen before. I have no idea why I didn’t do this sooner. There’s a Houl piece and a couple of really nice Delm pieces (at least I think they’re Delm’s).

  • Art, Not Apart

    Art, Not Apart

It’s that time of year again. Art, Not Apart cranked up again to be taller and more widespread. Instead of the odd graffiti-slash-street artist given a place to spray, there was an entire artists’ alley and other pockets around the New Acton campus. Instead of being contained within the main area, the event even filled…

  • Pre-X-Mas Graf

So, who wanted some pre-X-Mas Graffiti Flicks? Yeah? Okay, well enjoy these, they might be the last snaps I make for the year…

  • King Brown

I picked this up from Shredders Boardstore in Lonsdale. Nice little shop and this is a nice graf/skate mag. I wish more magazines came with prizes. The magazine features artist interviews and a particular nice feature are the favourite studio items of the artist featured. It’s a nice touch.
